REGIONAL GEOLOGY / LOCATION RATIONALE
Proximity to Platinum Deposits:Within the only platinum producing region in Australia at Fifield. Adjacent to the tenement lie the Owendale, Murga and Tout Intrusive Companies with platinum having been mined in the area.
Proximity to Gold Deposits:Near gold mineralisation area of the Girilambone Group featuring the Tullamore Goldfield associated with buried, near-surface intrusions.
Proximity to Prime Mining Locations:Yarran surrounds and overlaps the Syerston Platinum Group Element and Nickel-Cobalt deposits.
Strong Survey Data:The tenement includes radiometric, gravimetric and magnetic anomalies which are related to its immediate geology. Regional aeromagnetics show tenement intrusives as intense magnetic highs. Major gravity highs associated with the Yarran tenement are a feature comparable with the Olympic Dam structure.
Mineral Mix:There are ranges of mineral styles in, or adjacent to, the tenement. There are also base metal occurrences in the eastern sector of the tenement identified here for follow up with mapping of intense kaolin alteration.
