REGIONAL GEOLOGY / LOCATION RATIONALE
Prime Mining Location with Historic Resource Finds:The tenement is located on the eastern Lachlan Fold Belt and lies on the eastern margin of the Hill End Trough and the Sofala Anticline.
Existing Mineralisation Supports Research Data:Correlates with a magnetic response interpreted as an aureole surrounding a larger intrusive. In places the amplitude of the magnetic response is sufficient to be classified as a skarn.
Host Formation:Skarn related mineralisation is in the west of tenement and the intrusive associated with the contact.
Additional Research Necessary:The Northparkes type target is identified here for follow up with mapping of intense kaolin alteration.
TARGETS
Porphyry copper-gold mineralisation, in particular where coincident circular magnetic and gravity anomalies exist at major structural intersections.
STATUS & COMPANY GOALS
Porphyry copper-gold targets and related mineralisation.
Define the extents of the iron-skarn mineralisation and its relationship to a larger potentially copper-gold bearing igneous body.
