Positive Geological Data in a Historic Mining Location:The Mooculta tenement covers a major northeast trending structure and an interpreted granite intrusion on its southern side in contact with Girilambone Group sediments.
Previous Mineralisation in Tenement:Four areas of polymetallic mineralisation have been located along the contact zone during past exploration.
Research Data:The NSW Geological Survey has recently interpreted a volcanic arc, the Bellevue Complex extending through the tenement and to the northeast within Ordovician Warraweena Volcanics. This enhances the mineral potential, especially under these previously ignored covered areas.
Base Metal Prospects:The prospective zone is defined by T11, T57, T17 and T14a base-metal prospects.
TARGETS
Follow-up delineated base metal prospects.
Locate porphyry copper-gold and related base metal mineralisation as recently described by the NSW Geological Survey in geological settings similar to Cadia.
STATUS & COMPANY GOALS
Porphyry deposits comparable to the Northparkes and Cadia-Ridgeway deposits.
Drill out existing base metal (high-level porphyry environments) and potentially deeper Cu-Au mineralisation.
