Strong Mining Area:The region is regarded as a platinum, copper and nickel province with associated silver and gold.
Proximity to Prime Locations:The Honeybugle tenement is located within the Fifield Platinum Province, northwest of the lateritic nickel-cobalt-platinum deposit a Syerston which contains a reserve of 80 Mt at 0.73% Nickel and 0.13% Cobalt with platinum credits and adjacent to Homeville lateritic Ni-Co deposit.
Significant mineral occurrences on tenement:The Honeybugle copper prospect which also carries gold and silver and has produced values up to 2.6% copper, 0.17g/t platinum and 0.5g/t gold.
- The Honeybugle North workings averaged 0.54g/t platinum over a 20m wide zone.
- Yarran Park costean 194m x 0.34g/t platinum, including 2m x 17.61g/t platinum and nickel up to 1,700 ppm.
- Mallee Valley, where RAB drilling intersected 8m x 0.53g/t plantium.
Possible Gold Deposits:The Gilmore Suture and splays are likely to contain mineralisation in the style of Cowal Gold Mine.
Potential for Nickel and Platinum:A large ultramafic complex is present with potential and untested anomalies for nickel sulphide, nickel laterite deposits and platinum.
TARGETS
Porphyry copper-gold mineralisation, in particular where coincident circular magnetic and gravity anomalies exist at major structural intersections.
STATUS & COMPANY GOALS
Porphyry copper-gold targets and related mineralisation.
Define the extents of the Iron-skarn mineralisation and its relationship to a larger potentially copper-gold bearing igneous body.
