REGIONAL GEOLOGY / LOCATION RATIONALE
Proximity to other Gold Deposits:The discovery of the Wyoming gold deposit west of Beehive East has demonstrated the potential for larger lode-type mineralisation hosted within the same Ordovician volcanic stratigraphy. Mineralisation at Wyoming is in contrast with that at Peak Hill located 12km to the south which is high sulphidation epithermal style. Large coincident magnetic/gravimetric anomalies.
Resources found in adjoining tenement:To the immediate north of the tenement, Alakane (EL5548) have recently announced a large deposit within trachytes containing rare earth oxides and a measured resource of 35.7 Mt @ 1.96% ZrO2, 0.04% HfO2, 0.46% Nb2O5, 0.03% Ta2O5, 0.14% Y2O3, 0.745% Total REO, 0.014% U308. This deposit shows in the radiometric data (very strong uranium response), to the north of the tenement, as does the trachytes on EL7159.
Beehive East tenement exhibiting same indicators:Similar radiometric responses have been interpreted within the Beehive East tenement.
Further research needed to map full potential:The tenement warrants detailed mapping and prioritizing geophysical/geochemical targets. The regional radiometric data defined a coincident uranium and thorium anomaly which has a similar response to that of the adjacent Toongi zirconium and rare earth deposits.
TARGETS
Proximal to Toongi Zr, REE deposit.
Explore Zr and REE Resources.
Porphyry copper-gold targets exist..
STATUS & COMPANY GOALS
Focus on defining standalone or satellite resource to the existing Toongi Zr, REE deposit.
Commence sampling and drilling of the ‘Toongi Zr, REE’ style mineralisation and trachytes.
